A 10-year-old boy who was kidnapped for a ransom of Rs25 million in Okara late last night has been recovered by the police after an eight-hour search.
Addressing a press conference at the DPO Office, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sahiwal, Mehmood Rasheed Mian, alongside DPO Okara Rashid Hidayat, shared the details of the successful recovery.
The child, Zayan, son of Muhammad Altafa local leader of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP)was abducted from Makka Madina Town in the jurisdiction of Saddar Okara Police Station.
The abductors reportedly contacted the family using an international SIM card and demanded a ransom of Rs25 million.
DPO Rashid Hidayat, treating the case as a top priority, tasked SP Investigation Malik Dawood, DSP Nasir Cheema, and SHO Riaz Bhatti with leading the investigation using scientific methods.
