Blake Lively has reconnected with Taylor Swift following months of tension after the singer was pulled into the ongoing It Ends With Us legal dispute. Sources tell Page Six that Lively reached out directly to offer a personal apology, which Swift reportedly received warmly.
Swift became involved in the case after Justin Baldoni, Lively’s co-star and legal opponent, claimed she used Swift’s influence—alongside husband Ryan Reynolds—to apply pressure regarding script revisions for the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel. Baldoni’s lawsuit mentions a meeting at Lively’s New York City penthouse where Swift and Reynolds allegedly supported Lively’s changes.
An insider explained, “It was important to Blake to be on good terms again with Taylor. It was never her intention to hurt Taylor or cause any harm to their friendship.” The source added that Lively “missed their friendship and hopes they can put this whole thing behind them.”
Swift, according to another insider, “appreciated” the gesture. “She felt it was genuine and heartfelt. Taylor has no hard feelings and is ready to move forward.”
The situation escalated in February when Baldoni’s legal team suggested Swift could be deposed in the case, which is scheduled for trial in March 2026. While Swift reportedly felt “used” and disliked being referenced as one of Lively’s “dragons,” she is said to be unafraid of legal involvement.
Despite the tension, Lively’s outreach signals a strong effort to restore their bond, which has previously seen the two attend public events together and share close ties with mutual friends, including Reynolds and the Haim sisters.
