LAHORE:

Former foreign minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri said on Monday that while it is too early to predict the full impact of the US administration's tariffs on global economies, the current trade disruptions may create opportunities for Pakistan—if backed by a well-considered diplomatic strategy.

Speaking to a select group of senior journalists, Kasuri said that in the wake of new tariffs imposed by the Trump administration, Pakistan could gain a competitive edge in exporting certain agricultural products such as corn and potatoes, citing the country's sufficient production capacity.
