
During an intelligence based operation in Karachi, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and the Pakistan Rangers on Monday arrested three alleged terrorists belonging to the Hafiz Gul Bahadur faction of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
According to a statement issued to the media, the operation took place in the Korangi area of the metropolis during which arms, ammunition and explosive devices were also confiscated.
The alleged terrorists rounded up by the law enforcement agencies were identified as Inamullah alias Lala, Naeemullah alias Umar Zali and Muhammad Taib alias Muhammad.
The statement claimed that all the alleged terroristsbelonging to "Fitna-Al Khawarij", another epithet for the TTP were highly wanted in a number of terror activities. The arrested terrorist Naeem Ullah joined the TTP in 2014 and is considered a key member of the Hafiz Gul Bahadur faction.
The terrorist's father, Momin Khan, and uncle, Saleemullah, were also prominent commanders of the group, involved in several attacks against security forces, and were killed during operations.
The arrested terrorist is militarily trained and has been involved in numerous operations in Waziristan. He had recently come to Karachi and was actively engaged in organizing his network there.
