Two people were killed and three injured in two separate incidents in the city on Monday. A biker died and his pillion rider was injured when a vehicle collided with them on Mai Kolachi Road. The deceased was identified as Usman, 28, and the injured as Moeen, 23. Local police are investigating the accident.
In the second incident, a speeding car lost control and crashed into a pole near the PSO pump on Sharae Faisal, resulting in one death and two injuries. The deceased was identified as Safan, 25, and the injured women as Hafsa, 26, and Lashmala, 16. They were transported to JPMC. The family members of the deceased chose not to pursue police action and took the body with them.
Meanwhile, a person was killed on Jail Road when a truck hit a rickshaw, killing the passenger and injuring the driver. The accident allegedly occurred due to brake failure. The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Sheikh Sohail. The police seized the truck and apprehended the driver.
