Justin Bieber had the internet buzzing recently when he posted an open invitation on his Instagram, writing, "Dm me if u wanna make music together."

Naturally, with Bieber being one of the biggest pop superstars in the world, a flood of artists jumped at the opportunity, rushing into his DMs and filling the comments section with excitement. After all, getting a chance to collaborate with Justin Bieber is a career milestone that most artists would dream of.

Among the swarm of eager musicians was none other than Drake himself. The Toronto rapper not only slid into Bieber's DMs but also commented directly on the post, publicly saying, "I DM'd but no reply."

The comment quickly caught fire, with fans loving the unexpected and slightly hilarious moment between two of Canada's biggest musical exports.

The interaction carries extra weight considering the history between Drake and Bieber. Both artists have long represented the Canadian music scene at the highest level, with Drake often being supportive of Bieber’s career and vice versa.

Over the years, they've shared stages, praised each other in interviews, and flirted with the idea of working more closely together musically.

While they haven't released many direct collaborations, their mutual respect has always been visible — making Drake’s playful call-out even more surprising (and a little bittersweet).

Adding a bit of tension to the situation is the fact that Drake was recently a victim of Bieber’s unfollow spree.

In a move that confused and intrigued fans, Justin Bieber unfollowed a large number of high-profile figures on Instagram, including Drake, Sean "Diddy" Combs, and Benny Blanco.

While it’s unclear why Bieber decided to clean up his following list, some speculate it could be related to him focusing on a new era in his life or music career — or perhaps just setting stricter boundaries online.

Regardless of the unfollow, it’s clear that Drake still has an interest in collaborating. And judging by the reaction in the comment section, the public would absolutely love to see these two Canadian icons team up.

Whether or not Bieber eventually checks his DMs and responds is another story — but if he does, it could result in one of the biggest music moments of the year.
