
Peshawar Zalmi kicked off their preparations for the 10th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Sunday, with players undergoing training sessions in Rawalpindi ahead of their opening match on April 12.
With the HBL PSL X set to begin on April 11, Peshawar Zalmi commenced high-intensity training and net sessions as they gear up for another title challenge.
Both international and local players were seen participating in batting and bowling drills as the squad looks to build cohesion ahead of the tournament.
Zalmi will launch their season against Quetta Gladiators on Saturday, April 12, at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The side will play a total of nine league matches across four venues during the month-long competition.
Afghanistan’s Najibullah Zadran has also linked up with the team and will feature in this year’s campaign for the Yellow Storm, adding depth to the middle order.
Led by Babar Azam, the squad includes a mix of youth and experience, featuring key names like Saim Ayub, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Mohammad Haris, and overseas pacer Alzarri Joseph.
Squad players like Abdul Samad and Mehran Mumtaz were also among players who arrived for the pre-tournament training camp.
The six-team tournament will consist of 34 matches, culminating with the final at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on May 18.
Thirteen matches, including both eliminators, will also be played at the same venue.
