Spiritual healer accused of attempted rape, fraud

Suspect trapped victims under the guise of giving an apple to women who wished for male children

The police have registered a case against a spiritual healer in Madanpura and arrested the accused.

According to the police, Muhammad Latif, a resident of Madanpura, stated that the uncle of the accused Waleed alias Baba Saib Wale used to give people apples with supposed spiritual powers.

He passed away a long time ago. He used to give an apple to people who wished for male children.

Taking undue advantage of the fame of his deceased uncle, the suspect became a fake spiritual healer in his place and started giving apples to people, including women who longed male children. On March 20 the complainant's wife went to Waleed alias Baba Saib Wala to get an apple.

However, he allegedly tried to rape his wife at gunpoint. The Ghulam Muhammadabad police registered a case against the suspect under sections 376 and 511, arrested him and put him in lockup.

Meanwhile, three fraudsters who gave a fake Rs1,000 note to a milk vendor were caught by the citizens and handed over to the police along with the a large amount of fake notes. Madina Town Police started questioning the accused after registering the case.

Niaz Ali Sultan, a shopkeeper running a milk and lassie shop in Naimat Colony No. 2, took the stand in the case filed with the police that three accused Hassan Ali Muhammad resident of 617 GB Tandlianwala, Allah Dad Javed Fazil resident of 616 GB Tandlianwala and Muhammad Shahzad Munir Qurban resident of Qurban Line Lahore came to his shop and ordered lassie and gave his a note of Rs.1,000, when I checked, it turned out to be fake.

Meanwhile, the accused were talking and had a briefcase. On which the complainant, along with Sajawal Muneer and Atif Hussain, caught them and checked the briefcase, which contained six copies of fake notes of Rs.100. The police took the three accused into custody along with the fake notes and started the interrogation process.

Separately, A middle-aged man riding a motorcycle died after being hit by a car in the D-Type Colony area, while his wife was injured. The police took possession of the body and handed it over to the heirs of the deceased after taking necessary action and registered a case against two accused including the minor driver.

According to the police report, Abdul Rafi, a resident of Chak No. 224 RB, filed a case in D-Type Colony police station, which stated that his father, 50-year-old Akbar Ali and mother were riding a motorcycle to Siddique Chowk, Madula Park, when minor Arham was speeding along with the accused Bhola in a car that hit them.

As a result, they were injured and were shifted to a hospital, where his father succumbed to his injuries.
