Oman's national hockey team arrives in Pakistan
The Oman national hockey team has arrived in Lahore for a four-match series against Pakistan's junior team.
The Oman squad, consisting of 19 players and 8 officials, was warmly welcomed by representatives from the Pakistan Hockey Federation at Allama Iqbal Airport.
The series will see two matches played in Lahore on April 8 and 9, followed by two matches in Islamabad on April 11 and 12.
The matches are part of Pakistan’s preparations for the AHF Cup, which will take place in Jakarta starting on April 17.
The AHF Cup serves as a qualifier for the Asia Cup, with the top two teams from the tournament earning a spot in the competition scheduled to be held in Rajgarh, India, later this year. Pakistan has already qualified for the Asia Cup.
