Four tourists killed in Shangla road accident

In a tragic incident, four tourists lost their lives and one sustained injuries when their vehicle plunged into a river in Kaga Dhandheri area of Alpuri.

The tourists, residents of Nawabpur, Multan, were traveling to Gilgit after visiting Swat when their vehicle veered off the main highway near Khan Khor in Alpuri.

The victims were identified as Hassan Khan, Jawad Shaukat, Muhammad Ameer, and Hamad Khalid, while the injured survivor was identified as Dilawar Khan.

According to SHO Muhammad Arif Khan of Alpuri Police Station, the accident occurred around 2am on Saturday. Police and rescue teams were alerted in the morning.

They transported the victims to Alpuri District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem before the bodies were handed over to local authorities.
