PESHAWAR:

Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa South chapter Ameer Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Khan has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the province, particularly in the southern districts.

He said that districts like Kurram, Kohat, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, and Dera Ismail Khan were experiencing daily terrorist activities, leaving locals in a state of panic and fear.

"Authorities are helpless, and the provincial government and security agencies are silent on the issue of peace," said the JI leader, adding that the people had been left at the mercy of terrorists.

Addressing a meeting of K-P South's provincial officials and district leaders at Darul Uloom Islamia Bannu, Professor Ibrahim announced that JI Ameer Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman will lead a peace march in Peshawar on April 20, which is expected to draw thousands of people from southern K-P.

The meeting reviewed the overall situation in the province, the work of party, law and order, and other issues. The district leaders presented their quarterly reports.

Prof Ibrahim highlighted that the recent reduction in electricity prices by the Prime Minister was insufficient, adding further reductions are necessary.
