Car collision case accused remanded to judicial custody

The Judicial Magistrate East in Karachi City Court heard a case of a couple who died in a car collision on Sharae Faisal and sent the accused to jail on judicial remand. The arrested accused Aniq was produced before the magistrate.

The court sought the report to determine the age of the accused. The investigating officer said that the police surgeon was supposed to submit the report within four days, but due to the Eid holidays it is delayed.

The court inquired about the initial report. The investigating officer replied, the initial report was not received either.

The court remanded the accused Aniq to judicial custody and ordered the investigating officer to submit the age determination report and challan at the next hearing.

Gol Gappa sent to jail

The police produced Munir alias Gol Gappa, who fleeced people and collected millions of rupees from them in the name of providing overseas employment, before the Judicial Magistrate East in Karachi City Court. The court heard the case and sent the accused to jail on judicial remand.

Accused Munir was absconding in several cases. He was arrested by Soldier Bazaar police. The accused used to collect money from citizens by showing golden dreams to the youth who wanted to go abroad. The accused used to receive Rs1.5 million to Rs3 million as advance payment from each person. The accused used to make agreements on fake stamp paper and give fake cheques. The court sent the accused to jail on judicial remand.

Drug possession case

A judicial magistrate sought the challan against Sahir Hassan, son of actor Sajid Hassan, in a drug possession case. Sahir Hassan was presented before the Judicial Magistrate No. 9 at Karachi Central Jail Judicial Complex. Despite his appearance, the investigating officer (IO) failed to attend the court and did not submit the final challan.

The court directed the challan to be presented and adjourned the hearing until April 9. Currently, Sahir Hassan remains in jail on judicial remand.
