Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Nawaz Sharif has congratulated the nation on the recent reduction in electricity prices, calling it a welcome relief for the public and a positive step toward curbing inflation.
In a statement, Nawaz said the decline in electricity tariffs will ease the burden of rising living costs and is a sign of improving economic conditions in the country. "Betterment in the national economy is gradually translating into a better quality of life for the common man," he noted.
He noted that the government remains committed to bringing relief to low-income and middle-class households and is making all-out efforts to improve their living standards.
The PML-N leader expressed confidence that with continued government efforts, inflation can be effectively brought under control.
Nawaz also directed party's Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal to convene provincial-level party meetings to highlight the government's public relief measures.
