Nintendo has announced a new partnership with viral TikTok sensation The Rizzler, who will help promote the newly released Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. Known for his role in the Costco Guys, The Rizzler has built a massive following online, and now joins Nintendo’s growing list of pop culture collaborators.

The Rizzler gained prominence through humorous Costco product reviews using the signature “Boom” scale. The group’s popularity exploded across social platforms, transforming them from content creators into a mainstream brand with ties to wrestling appearances, music, and now gaming.

Among the Costco Guys, The Rizzler has emerged as the standout, with fans drawn to his style, facial expressions, and internet persona. His influence has now extended into the gaming world, with Nintendo recognising the potential of his large and highly engaged audience. The first video under the new partnership shows The Rizzler endorsing Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, tagging it with “Rizzler approved.”

“#NintendoPartner Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is RIZZLER APPROVED!!” he wrote on TikTok, kicking off what may be the first of several content pieces linked to the collaboration.

Nintendo’s decision to collaborate with The Rizzler is in line with its broader strategy of teaming up with cultural figures and influencers who can engage younger, digitally native audiences. Past collaborations have included Brie Larson, Sabrina Carpenter, and Kenan Thompson. While some online users have questioned whether the partnership is a mismatch, the numbers speak for themselves.
