TMA officers face action over absenteeism

Five Khanpur Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) officers have been suspended for absenteeism.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Local Government Arshad Ayub Khan ordered immediate action against absentee officials following public complaints.

According to the official notification, the minister inspected the office and directed departmental authorities to take strict action.

Subsequently, under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government, Elections and Rural Development Department, the Local Council Board suspended five TMA officers for negligence and being absent during duty hours.

Those suspended include TMO Khanpur Ayesha Tahir, Faisal Abbas, Amir Khan, Muhammad Javed, and Sub-Engineer Talha Hussain.

Charges against them include violation of official instructions, obstruction in administrative affairs, and absenteeism.
