A milk seller in Sanghar was arrested in a motorcycle theft case after expressing support for Imran Khan on social media.
According to reports, the incident occurred two days after the vendor raised his voice for his rights during a Pakistan People's Party (PPP) protest rally. Following his statement in favor of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, a case of motorcycle theft was registered against him at Sanghar Police Station.
Nazeemuddin Shar, the arrested individual, stated that he had posted on social media, demanding Imran Khan's release, calling him the only honest leader.
Sources reveal that after his statement against the PPP, police apprehended him early in the morning near Kundi Wah while he was on his way to the city from his village. He was then taken to an undisclosed location, leaving his family in distress. His relatives claimed that the police refused to provide any information about his whereabouts. However, after news of his arrest circulated on social media, police later confirmed that Nazeemuddin Shar had been detained on charges of motorcycle theft.
His parents strongly denied these allegations, stating that their son had never been involved in any criminal activities. They accused the police of fabricating the case against him.
Meanwhile, members of the legal fraternity and his family gathered at Sanghar Police Station to obtain further information. Lawyers, including Anwar Shehzad Khattak, Sunny Yousafzai, and Imran Khaskheli, condemned the arrest, claiming that the current government has begun a crackdown against PTI supporters in Sanghar.
