LAHORE: PML-N President Nawaz Sharif on Friday congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for reducing electricity tariffs, which the latter called a “major relief package” for consumers.
In a statement, Nawaz praised the PM and his team for securing power tariff reductions for both domestic and industrial consumers. He said the country was moving in the right direction, adding that lower electricity costs would not only ease financial burdens on the public but also boost exports.
The PML-N supremo asserted that his party had always provided economic relief, pointing to the ongoing decline in inflation as proof of the government’s sound economic policies.
