Mawra Hocane starred in the music video for Indian singer Akhil Sachdeva's song Tu Chaand Hai on Friday. The video spotlights the artists in stunning, sunny locations, with Mawra twirling in between shots.

Announcing the cross-border collaboration on Instagram on Wednesday, she wrote, "Tu Chaand Hai – a special one from us to you. So excited to share this beautiful melody with you all, sung by the most talented Akhil Sachdeva. I can't wait for you to hear it. Releasing April 4, exclusively on Novice Records. Stay tuned."

Akhil also expressed his anticipation for the music video in the comments. "Gave every inch of my soul while singing this beautiful melody. Waiting for the whole world to feel it too. Give your love," he wrote.

The two also spoke about the project in a statement, as per Times of India. "Music videos have always fascinated me, and I couldn't have asked for a better song coming my way. Tu Chaand Hai is pure magic, and working with the team has been an incredible experience. I can't wait for my fans to see this beautiful journey unfold," Mawra shared.

Akhil, meanwhile, praised the Pakistan actor for elevating the song with her involvement. "Tu Chaand Hai is one of the most special songs I've worked on, and having Mawra bring it to life onscreen adds a whole new depth to the emotions. Her presence makes this song even more emotional," he said.

As of late, Mawra has been riding high from the exceptional success of the re-release of her Bollywood debut, Sanam Teri Kasam. Despite not doing well in 2016, the film rocked the box office almost a decade later and earned high praise from Bollywood greats, such as Vidya Balan and Anil Kapoor.

Mawra, who was simultaneously basking in the glow of her marriage and the newfound success of her film, got a chance to collect her thoughts in an Instagram post shared in March. Penning a heartfelt note, she appreciated the hard work of her crew and dwelled on her own thoughts.

Sharing a carousel of clips from the film, she wrote, "Not me fainting at the numbers that Sanam Teri Kasam re-release is doing. Absolutely magical!" Reflecting on the unexpected love, she added, "Sanam Teri Kasam re-releasing is a testament to the fact that you can't get more than what your time and fate can offer. I'm so so grateful for the love you've all poured in during the last three weeks. It's unheard of. They're saying we've made history."
