New Superman sneak peek reveals Krypto, robots, and Alan Tudyk ahead of July release

New Superman sneak peek reveals Krypto, robots, and Alan Tudyk's voice as fans eagerly await the July 11 release.

The excitement surrounding the upcoming Superman film, directed by James Gunn, continues to grow as DC Studios unveiled a new sneak peek at CinemaCon this week.

Fans were treated to glimpses of Krypto, Superman’s beloved canine companion, who has already captured hearts, thanks to Gunn’s personal inspiration from his dog, Ozu.

In addition to Krypto, the sneak peek highlighted the iconic Superman robots, which were briefly teased in the first trailer. One notable reveal was Robot 4, clearly voiced by the talented Alan Tudyk. Tudyk, a frequent collaborator of Gunn, is no stranger to voicing robotic characters, having previously played roles like Doctor Phosphorus in Creature Commandos and a robot in I, Robot. Fans are also eagerly speculating about the voice of Robot 12, with many online already guessing the actress behind the character.

Superman, slated for release on July 11, marks DC Studios' first feature film in the newly reimagined universe. The movie stars David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Gunn’s signature style of epic action, humor, and heart promises a fresh take on the iconic superhero, driven by compassion and an unwavering belief in humanity’s goodness. The film is produced by Peter Safran and Gunn, with Gunn also writing and directing.
