
Pakistan Railways has introduced high-speed and comfortable diesel multiple unit trains.
In a briefing to Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi, the railways officials told that the trains were designed to run with the speed of 160-kilometre per hour.
The trains will ply between Lahore, Lala Musa and Rawalpindi.
As many as 380 passengers can travel at a time in diesel plus multiple trains. The project is based on public-private partnership. The railways will ensure effective operation and surveillance.
