Marvel Rivals Season 2 is set to launch on April 11, 2025, bringing a meta-changing Team-Ups rework, two powerful new heroes—Emma Frost and Ultron—and exciting new features like costume gifting and skin recolors.
Developer NetEase has also confirmed that, starting from Season 3, each new season will last two months, introducing a new Marvel Rivals hero every month.
Season 2, titled Hellfire Gala, introduces Emma Frost at launch. As a Vanguard hero, her abilities focus on telepathy and diamond-based shielding, making her a formidable force in both defense and offense. Ultron will arrive in the mid-season 2.5 update, though details about his role and abilities remain undisclosed.
The Team-Ups system is getting its first major overhaul. New combo abilities will be added, some will be reworked, and others removed. Confirmed new Team-Ups include:
-
Mental Projection – Emma Frost, Magneto, and Psylocke create battlefield illusions.
-
Arcane Order – Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch unleash a high DPS attack.
-
Stars Aligned – Captain America and Winter Soldier execute a relentless counterattack.
Players can now gift costumes to friends, and several popular skins will receive recolors. A rank reset will also occur, dropping players nine divisions below their Season 1.5 rank.
With shorter seasons and monthly hero additions, Marvel Rivals is set to deliver faster updates and a constantly evolving meta.
