
Despite Eid festivities, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday held back-to-back meetings, discussing country's security situation with particular reference to Balochistan.
He first met with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti who briefed him on the situation in his province. The prime minister also met Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi separately to get a briefing on the overall security situation.
In his meeting with the Balochistan chief minister, the prime minister held detailed discussions on economic, social and law and order situation in Balochistan. The ongoing development projects, started by the federal government in Balochistan, also came under discussion in the meeting.
The premier emphasised providing all possible support for development of Balochistan. He reaffirmed that development of Balochistan was among top priorities of the federal government and all possible steps would be taken in that regard.
Interior Minister
Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday and briefed him on national security and ongoing developments in the country.
He also extended Eidul Fitr greetings to the prime minister and discussed the security measures. He also briefed the prime minister on progress of repatriation process of Afghan nationals.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction with the law and order situation, especially during Eid days. The matters related to the interior ministry also came under discussion, during the meeting.
