Erling Haaland suffers injury, possibly out until FIFA Club World Cup
Manchester City's Erling Haaland sustained an ankle injury during their FA Cup quarter-final victory over Bournemouth, the club confirmed on Monday.
The Norwegian striker, who scored in the 2-1 win, was substituted in the 61st minute and will undergo further tests to determine the severity of the issue.
Haaland's left ankle injury puts his availability for City's FA Cup run and leagues matches in doubt. Veteran football journalist Fabrizio Romano also reported that Haaland is likely to miss most of the season.

"The expectation is that Erling will be fit in time to play a further part in the remainder of this season, including this summer's FIFA Club World Cup," City said, referencing the tournament scheduled from June 14 to July 13 in the United States.
Haaland has netted 21 goals in 28 Premier League appearances this season.
Defending champions City, currently fifth in the league, have struggled for consistency with only one win in their last four matches. They host Leicester City on Wednesday.
