
As the nation marks Eidul Fitr on Monday (today), the political leaders in both government and the opposition headed to their home areas to be with their friends and families on this joyous occasion.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will celebrate Eid in Lahore with his children and other close relatives -- brother Nawaz Sharif and niece, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Lahore.
President Asif Zardari reached Nawabshah on Sunday to celebrate Eid in his home district, his son, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will offer Eid prayer in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Larkana.
Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani will be in Multan on the Eid day, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will be in Lahore, and Deputy Speaker Ghulam Mustafa Shah will offer Eid prayer in Nawabshah.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah will celebrate Eid in Sehwan, while Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will mark the occasion in Dera Ismail Khan. Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti will observe Eid prayers in Quetta.
Federal ministers will also be spread across the country, with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif in Sialkot, and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Lahore. Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Mohammad Ahmed Khan will celebrate Eid in his ancestral village, Khai Hathar, in the Kasur district.
Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah will spend the Eid day in Faisalabad, where Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry will offer Eid prayers. (WITH INPUT FROM NEWS DESK)
