Marvel Studios has officially confirmed that Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will reprise their roles as the Fantastic Four in Avengers: Doomsday, set to release in 2026. The announcement comes as Marvel ramps up promotion for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which hits cinemas on July 25, 2025.
Pascal leads the cast as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), alongside Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing). With Galactus as the main antagonist in First Steps, fans are speculating the team’s clash with Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom in Doomsday will take the MCU’s multiversal storyline to new heights.
Despite being newcomers, the Fantastic Four have been confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday ahead of veteran Avengers, signalling their central role in Phase 6. Kevin Feige previously confirmed First Steps is set in an alternate 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic universe, but their crossover into Doomsday implies a merge into the MCU’s main timeline.
Buzz for First Steps is building rapidly. Actor Paul Walter Hauser, reportedly playing Mole Man, recently stated the film "will go down in history" and compared it to Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther in its impact. A new countdown teaser from Marvel India suggests major anticipation from global fans.
With Natasha Lyonne in an undisclosed role and Julia Garner as Silver Surfer, the stakes are higher than ever for Marvel’s First Family. Their confirmed return for Doomsday—alongside legacy Avengers and Fox X-Men—indicates a unified battle ahead in the MCU’s most ambitious crossover yet.
