Pakistan sees drop in gold prices ahead of Eid amid global decline

Gold prices saw a decline on Tuesday, both in the international market and locally in Pakistan. In the domestic market, the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs800, reaching Rs317,800.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs686, settling at Rs272,462, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

This decline follows a rise in gold prices on Monday, when the price per tola surged by Rs600 to close at Rs318,600.

Globally, the price of gold also saw a drop, with the international rate falling to $3,021 per ounce, a decrease of $6, as reported by APGJSA. The global price included a premium of $20.

Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan remained steady, with the cost per tola holding firm at Rs3,475.
