Wave of violence in Karachi leaves two dead

KARACHI:

A wave of violence swept through the provincial capital, leaving two dead and one injured in separate incidents on Monday.

Osama, 22-year-old, was killed, and a child was injured in a firing incident near Hashim Medical in Korangi Sector 50/C.

According to police, the deceased was a tailor, and the injured child was identified as 12-year-old Hassan. Osama was shot dead by his cousins, Fahad and Kamran. A fight had broken out between him and the accused. The child was injured in the crossfire.

According to Osama's brothers, Fahad, who lives in Saudi Arabia with his mother, had returned to Pakistan a month ago. He is also suspected of involvement in robberies. Osama had opposed his actions, which led Fahad to target him. The family appealed to the DG Rangers to arrest Fahad and prevent him from escaping abroad.

In another firing incident, a person was killed near Orangi Town. The police identified the deceased as 50-year-old Sherzada, a resident of Banaras Pathan Colony. He was shot in the head, which proved fatal.The police found Sherzada's mobile phone, which was seized for investigation.
