One dies in shooting outside district court

ISLAMABAD:

One person was killed, while another sustained injuries in a firing incident outside the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) District Court on Monday, witnesses and police said.

The shooting incident occurred when Shahbaz and Nasir arrived at the court for a hearing. Three unidentified assailants, who were riding a motorcycle, opened indiscriminate fire, resulting in the immediate death of Shahbaz.

Nasir was critically injured and shifted to PIMS Hospital for medical treatment. A preliminary police probe suggested that the attack was motivated by personal enmity.
