Veteran Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh’s recent claims about his interactions with Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi during the filming of Jannat (2008) have sparked a debate.

Responding to these allegations, Emraan Hashmi expressed bewilderment, calling the situation a "giant comedy of errors."

In an interview, he stated that he didn’t remember the first meeting as clearly as Sheikh, and added that he had always maintained cordial terms with the Pakistani actor throughout the filming of Jannat.

Emraan suggested that there may have been a miscommunication and noted that it was strange for Javed to have held onto this memory for over 16 years.

The actor went on to say that he couldn’t understand how this minor incident had escalated into something much larger, and concluded with a laugh, remarking on the absurdity of the situation.

The two actors worked together on Jannat, a film where Sheikh portrayed an underworld don, the film went on to be a commercial success.

Previously, Sheikh alleged that Emraan was dismissive and even rude when they first met at Newlands Cricket Stadium in South Africa, adding that the two actors did not speak to each other at all throughout the shoot.

In a recent interview, Sheikh recalled his initial meeting with Emraan, stating that while Emraan greeted him with a handshake, he turned his face away dismissively, which upset him.

Sheikh further mentioned that during rehearsals, he had refused to go to Emraan and instead insisted that the Bollywood actor come to him to "take revenge in style."
