WATCH: 102 iPhones seized by customs at Lahore airport

Customs officials at Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport intercepted an attempt to smuggle 102 iPhones into Pakistan from Bangkok, with an estimated value of millions of rupees.

The operation, based on a tip-off, targeted a passenger arriving on a foreign airline from Bangkok, Express News reported.

The authorities, acting on a secret alert, found the phones hidden among the passenger’s belongings.

The passenger, identified as Malik Shahid Hussain from Lahore, was taken into custody.

A case has been registered against him, and investigations are ongoing.

Customs officials, led by Collector Customs Tayyiba Kiani, confirmed the successful operation and reiterated that efforts to prevent smuggling at all airports in Punjab would continue.
