
A person was killed in a gunfight between the Otho and Burdi tribes over a dispute over the illegal occupation of the forest land in the remits of the Mahi Otho police station near Sehwan.
A large contingent of police, led by DSP Sehwan, reached the Kutcha area and transported the body to the Abdullah Shah Institute for Medico-legal proceedings. SSP Jamshoro also reached the spot. A police post has been set up in the area, while the murder case has not yet been registered.
The fight broke out between the Otho and Burdi communities over the illegal possession of government land in the jurisdiction of Mahi Otho police station near Sehwan, as a result of which armed men from both communities kept firing at each other automatic weapons, which continued till Sunday night.
Despite the information, the police did not take any action. Ali Hassan Burdi was killed in the exchange of fire. Upon receiving news of his death, DSP Sehwan Ahmed Bakhsh Rahujo, along with a heavy contingent of police, reached the scene and transported the body to Syed Abdullah Shah Institute. They attempted to nab the armed individuals involved in the shooting, but both groups managed to escape.
SSP Jamshoro Zafar Siddique Chhanga also arrived in the Kutcha area of Sehwan to assess the situation.
