In a rare incident of mariticide in Hyderabad, a woman killed her husband by bludgeoning his head with an iron rod and then with a wooden club.
The incident was reported from the Paban area on Saturday night. The Paban police was initially misled as the suspect, Laila, narrated different accounts of her husband Shamman Buriro's death.
She earlier told the cops that Buriro has been killed by unidentified person or persons who dumped him outside their one-room home's door in critically injured condition.
Inspector Atta Muhammad Kaka, the in-charge of the Paban police picket, said that when they visited the one-room house they saw blood all over on the walls.
According to him, the couple's four-year old son also disclosed to the police that his mother killed his father by attacking him with an iron rod. The police later took Laila in their custody. During initial probe, the police claim, she confessed of the murder, citing their domestic problems as the motive behind the killing.
