England's Jofra Archer set the unwanted record for the most expensive bowling figures in IPL history on Sunday, conceding 76 runs in his four overs during Rajasthan Royals' 44-run loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Archer's figures surpassed the previous record of 73 runs by India’s Mohit Sharma, who was hammered for the same amount against Gujarat Titans in 2024.

The brutal onslaught by the Sunrisers saw them post a massive 286-6, just one run shy of their own record for the highest team total in the IPL, set against Royal Challengers Bangalore last year.

Ishan Kishan top-scored with a brilliant 106 from 47 balls, including 11 fours and six sixes, while Travis Head added 67 from 31. Despite a solid start from Rajasthan, the Royals could not recover, with the Sunrisers cruising past 200 in just the 15th over.
