Jake Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, is officially engaged to Dutch Olympic speed skater Jutta Leerdam.
The couple, who began dating in early 2023, announced their engagement on social media, sharing intimate photos from the proposal. Paul wrote, “We’re engaged. We can’t wait to spend forever together,” alongside images showing him on one knee, surrounded by white candles and petals.
Jutta Leerdam, 26, is an accomplished athlete from the Netherlands. She began speed skating at age 11 after transitioning from field hockey. Seven years later, she captured her first championship title.
Her most significant achievement came during the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where she won silver in the women’s 1000-metre speed skating event. “Wow… What a rollercoaster,” Leerdam said after her Olympic podium finish. “Really happy with a silver medal on the Olympic games!!!”
Beyond the Olympics, Leerdam has claimed six gold medals at the European Championships in the 1000-metre speed and sprint categories, making her one of the most decorated speed skaters of her generation.
The couple’s relationship began unconventionally, as revealed in Netflix’s Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson. Leerdam shared that Jake Paul reached out via Instagram direct message, initially inviting her to appear on his podcast.
She admitted she was sceptical at first, thinking, “What an arrogant (expletive). He thinks he can do anything, but he won’t get me.” However, the connection soon turned serious. “We really connected in these two crazy worlds on a super personal, deep level,” she said. Since then, they have become “inseparable,” despite managing long-distance logistics due to their demanding training schedules.
As Paul continues his boxing journey and Leerdam builds on her athletic legacy, the couple looks ahead to a future together that blends sport, fame, and love.
