Prime Minister offers prayers for Pakistan's betterment during Umrah in Makkah.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with a high-level delegation, performed Umrah on Saturday during his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also took part in the Umrah rituals, joining Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The prime minister, who arrived in Makkah on Friday, also offered Nawafil prayers at the Holy Kaaba, seeking blessings for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and its people, as well as for the betterment of the Muslim Ummah.

Earlier in Madina Munawara, PM Sharif paid his respects at Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him) and performed Nawafil prayers at the Masjid-e-Nabawi.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Jeddah on Wednesday for a four-day visit to Saudi Arabia aimed at deepening bilateral trade and strengthening economic cooperation.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Prime Minister was welcomed by Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, the deputy governor of Makkah, upon his arrival.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has postponed his planned visit to Saudi Arabia due to health concerns.

According to reports, party sources confirmed that Nawaz Sharif’s doctors have advised him to avoid air travel, leading to the cancellation of his trip. His personal physician, Dr Adnan, is conducting daily medical check-ups.
