Beyoncé and Jay-Z are reportedly considering legal action after Kanye West launched a disturbing social media attack targeting their children.
The rapper posted a series of offensive messages on X, which included derogatory comments about the Carter children, prompting widespread backlash online.
West began his tirade by questioning the visibility of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s younger children, posting, “WAIT HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN JAY Z AND BEYONCES YOUNGER KIDS THEYRE R------D.” The posts quickly escalated, with West continuing to insult the family and reference artificial insemination in an offensive manner.
Despite deleting the posts after receiving backlash and pressure from his team, West later expressed regret about removing them. “SOMEBODY FROM MY MUSIC TEAM CALLED ME AND BEGGED ME TO TAKE IT DOWN… I’M SOOOO MAD I TOOK THAT DOWN,” he posted.
A source close to the Carters said the couple found the remarks “vulgar and offensive,” adding, “Jay-Z and Beyoncé are aware of the posts Kanye has since deleted and are discussing how they want to handle this situation, whether that be privately and/or in a legal matter.” They currently have no plans to address the issue publicly.
The couple shares three children—Blue Ivy, 13, and twins Rumi and Sir, both seven. Kanye’s outburst sparked reactions from fans and celebrities, with many condemning the comments.
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, responded indirectly by posting a video on Instagram with the caption, “It’s hard to remain positive and classy in the face of ignorance and evil… I know that God has got this.”
Once close collaborators, Kanye and Jay-Z’s relationship has deteriorated over the years, and this latest incident has pushed tensions to a new high. The full extent of the Carters’ legal response remains to be seen.
