Benny Blanco has officially joined the Swiftie fandom, thanks to his fiancée Selena Gomez. During their joint appearance on Hot Ones, released 20 March 2025, the music producer opened up about how Gomez introduced him to Taylor Swift’s music in a deeper way.
“I honestly didn’t know … before we started dating, like obviously, I was aware of Taylor Swift’s music,” said Blanco. “But I wasn’t like a true Swiftie until I was with [Selena].”
Gomez smiled proudly as Blanco described how he now finds himself requesting Swift’s older songs during car rides. “They’re timeless, what can I say,” added Gomez, praising her longtime friend’s discography.
The interview, filmed while both battled escalating levels of spicy hot sauce, served as promotion for their newly released joint album I Said I Love You First.

The album features tracks such as “Scared of Loving You,” “Call Me When You Break Up” with Gracie Abrams, and “Sunset Blvd.”
As the spice challenge intensified, so did the couple’s reactions. The duo later debated whether the Hot Ones experience was healthy for couples. Gomez quipped, “You did crumble. Couples, don’t play this game.”
