
Indian lyricist Javed Akhtar has expressed a keen interest in working with Pakistani singer-actor Moazzam Ali Khan after coming across his rendition of Yeh Nain Deray Deray on YouTube.
Taking to his social media handle on X (formerly Twitter), Akhtar shared his admiration for Khan's performance. In his post, he wrote, "Just now I watched a gentleman, Moazzam saheb on YouTube singing Yeh Nain Deray Deray. Could he please contact me? I will be thankful if he sings a few songs for us."
The unexpected recognition from one of Bollywood's most celebrated lyricists sparked excitement among fans of both artists. Khan, deeply moved by the acknowledgment, responded with a heartfelt message on his social media platforms.
"Truly grateful to be appreciated by the legendary Javed Akhtar Sahab. His words have inspired generations, and to have him acknowledge my voice and song is an honour beyond words," he wrote. Khan further expressed how much the encouragement meant to him, calling it a moment of great personal and artistic significance.
