Jonathan Majors is facing renewed controversy after Rolling Stone released an alleged audio recording in which the actor appears to admit to assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

"I'm ashamed I've ever... I've never aggressed a woman before — I aggressed you," Majors allegedly states in the 28-second clip. Jabbari then responds, “You strangled me and pushed me against the car.” Majors reportedly replies, “Yes, all those things are under ‘aggressed.’”
The audio recording was reportedly captured after a prolonged fight between the former couple while they were living together in London. Majors was arrested in March 2023 for a separate domestic violence incident involving Jabbari in New York. In December 2023, the Creed III actor was convicted on two misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment.
Jabbari had previously testified that Majors displayed "rage and aggression" throughout their relationship. Court evidence included text messages in which Majors allegedly admitted to physical violence and threatened self-harm if Jabbari sought medical attention.
The leaked recording surfaces just days before the anticipated release of Magazine Dreams, Majors’ upcoming film, which had its initial December 2023 premiere canceled following his legal troubles.
Representatives for Majors and Jabbari have not commented on the audio.
