Netflix’s hit period drama Bridgerton is set to return with season four, and actress Yerin Ha has shared exciting updates about the upcoming episodes. In a recent interview with WWD, Ha confirmed that filming is nearly complete, with production now entering its final phase.
“We just finished block three and we’re heading into block four now, so the final stint of the long marathon,” she revealed, offering fans a tantalising update.
Ha joins the cast as Sophie, a maid who becomes the central love interest of Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson. Season four will shift its focus to the second eldest Bridgerton sibling, and viewers can expect a romantic arc filled with drama, identity, and transformation.
“Sometimes in love you can lose part of yourself. And I think that’s what I love so much about Sophie,” Ha said. “She teaches me a lot actually as well, about ‘don’t change yourself for anyone.’ Stay true to your lane and surround yourself with people that will respect you at the same time.”
Ha also gave a glimpse into her costume experience on set, noting that her character’s working-class status limited her wardrobe to practical maid outfits. However, she did get to wear a standout piece during a key scene. “The Silver Masquerade costume is probably the most extravagant because otherwise I’m in maid costumes and I’m always scrubbing floors, ironing socks and napkins,” she explained.
Although tight-lipped on major plot developments, Ha expressed joy about her experience filming the beloved series. “It’s just been so wonderful and work has never felt like work. It’s just felt like playtime. It’s been so nice.”
With filming nearing completion, fans are eagerly awaiting an official release date from Netflix. As the Bridgerton universe continues to expand, season four promises a fresh, heartfelt storyline that stays true to the show’s celebrated charm.
