Cop killed in Quetta roadside blast

QUETTA:

A roadside bomb blast targeted an Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) mobile unit in the Brewery area of Quetta, killing a police constable and injuring seven others, including five police personnel and two civilians.

The deceased, identified as Dilbar Khan, sustained critical injuries and succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital hospital.

Rescue teams rushed the injured to a nearby medical facility, where they are receiving treatment.

Following the attack, police and Frontier Corps personnel arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, and launched an investigation.

Security has been tightened in Quetta and other parts of the country, especially after the recent attack on the Jaffer Express in the mountainous Bolan Valley.

Shahid Rind, the spokesman for the provincial government, strongly condemned the terrorist attack. He vowed that those responsible for this heinous crime would be brought to justice.
