Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Civil Defense has warned the public to exercise caution as thunderstorms are expected to persist across most regions of the Kingdom until Monday.

Residents are urged to remain in safe locations, avoid valleys and areas prone to flooding, and refrain from swimming in such areas, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Forecasts predict moderate to heavy rainfall in the Makkah and Riyadh regions, which may lead to flash floods, hail, and strong downdrafts. The Madinah, Asir, Hail, and Qassim regions will also experience moderate to heavy rain, while the Eastern Province is expected to see moderate showers.

Light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in Tabuk, Baha, Jazan, and Najran. The Civil Defense has advised the public to stay informed through official channels and social media for the latest weather updates.
