Ted Lasso renewed for season 4 with Jason Sudeikis returning as titular football coach

Apple TV+ has officially confirmed the renewal of Ted Lasso for a fourth season, with lead star Jason Sudeikis set to reprise his role as the beloved, pun-loving football coach.
While no other cast members have been confirmed yet, reports suggest that options for Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift have been picked up.Sudeikis shared his excitement about the upcoming season, stating, “In season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.” The upcoming season will continue to explore themes of growth, perseverance, and teamwork that have resonated with fans since the show’s debut in 2020.
Jack Burditt, known for his work on Modern Family and 30 Rock, joins the team as an executive producer for the fourth season under his new deal with Apple TV+. Sudeikis will also serve as an executive producer alongside Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard), Toheeb Jimoh, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel. Goldstein will return as a writer and executive producer, alongside Leanne Bowen.
Warner Bros. Television, in partnership with Universal Television, will continue producing the series, with Bill Lawrence executive producing via Doozer Productions. The show’s team is further strengthened by writers such as Sara Walker, Phoebe Walsh, and Dylan Marron.
Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group, expressed excitement over the show’s return, calling Ted Lasso a “juggernaut” that inspires joy and compassion worldwide. Ted Lasso has become a fan-favorite, earning 61 Emmy nominations and winning 13, including consecutive wins for Best Comedy Series and acting awards for Sudeikis and Goldstein.
The renewal of the show comes after fans eagerly awaited news about the next chapter in the Ted Lasso saga.
