Austin Butler’s Home Targeted in LA Burglary Spree
Austin Butler, the 33-year-old actor best known for his role in Elvis, recently experienced a frightening ordeal when his Los Angeles home was burglarized.
The incident occurred earlier this week, and authorities responded after the actor's security team reported the break-in. According to TMZ, the security guards discovered a broken glass door at the property on Monday. Upon further investigation, they found that the home had been ransacked.
By the time police arrived at the scene, the burglars had already fled, and no suspects were found inside the property. While Butler, who reportedly parted ways with model Kaia Gerber earlier this year, was overseas at the time, sources have confirmed that several items were stolen from the home, including cash and, more alarmingly, a firearm. The police have not yet completed a full inventory of the stolen goods, and the investigation is ongoing.
This break-in adds to a growing list of similar incidents targeting high-profile individuals in Los Angeles. In some cases, burglars have used social media posts to time their crimes when celebrities are away. However, Butler's limited social media presence may have not given the burglars an advantage in this case.
As of Thursday, authorities are continuing their investigation, but no arrests have been made, and there are no known suspects at this time. Butler, who has kept a low profile since his split from Gerber, is expected to comment on the incident through his representatives soon. He remains focused on his upcoming roles, including his portrayal of a villain in Dune: Part Two and his starring role in the upcoming American Psycho adaptation.
