Wendy Williams has reportedly passed a crucial mental health exam, a significant development in her ongoing guardianship case. The former talk show host scored a perfect 10 out of 10 on a "capacity test" administered by a psychiatrist on March 10, 2025, at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.

Sources familiar with the situation told TMZ that Wendy answered all 10 questions correctly, demonstrating that she was alert and oriented. This marks a clear contrast to the assessment made by her legal guardian, who claims her condition has worsened.

Wendy, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, disputes this diagnosis and has not been re-examined to determine if it was incorrect.

The results of this capacity test are particularly significant as they will be forwarded to the judge presiding over her guardianship case.

This test could potentially influence the ongoing legal battle regarding Wendy’s mental health and the control of her personal affairs. Her family and supporters have been advocating for her to have more autonomy, and this new development may support those calls.

In addition, Wendy’s guardianship case has prompted concern over her living conditions. Officers from the NYPD visited Wendy to ensure that she is not being held in a "prison-like" environment.
