Special prosecutorissues guidelines inMustafa murder case

Special Prosecutor Zulfiqar Arain has issued guidelines in the Mustafa Amir murder case, by writing a letter to the DIG CIA, SSP and the IO.

The special prosecutor has written a letter stating that the father of the main accused, Armughan, and mother of Mustafa, should be included in the investigation.

It is further suggested that the accused and his associates may have links to terrorism or terrorist financiers and could be involved in money laundering. There is also a possibility of the accused having ties with anti-state elements. To uncover the truth, assistance from the paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies has been recommended.

Moreover, the accused may have connections with international drug dealers. The investigation should also include all friends of the accused as well as the victim.

Authorities have been directed to obtain details of the properties, businesses, bank accounts, and travel history of both the accused and the victim. A forensic analysis must be conducted on the mobile phones used to make and receive the ransom calls.
