Chelsea Handler didn’t hold back during her appearance at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas, where she took a jab at Elon Musk while speaking with journalist Kara Swisher. The 50-year-old comedian sat down for a discussion on politics, Donald Trump’s presidency, and Musk’s position as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

At one point, Swisher jokingly suggested that Handler "take one for the team" and date Musk to "bring him back." However, Handler immediately shot down the idea, responding, "There’s a lot I would do for the country, but having sex with Elon Musk is not one of them. I can’t."

Handler also expressed frustration over Musk’s political influence, questioning, "I mean, did anyone vote for Elon Musk to be the president?" She then called for unity between Republicans and Democrats, saying, "Can’t we come together and say we don’t want that? Can’t we agree on that at least?"

The comedian has been vocal about her disapproval of Musk in the past, previously calling him "repugnant" in 2023. Despite her political commentary, Handler also discussed personal topics, including her stance on relationships. She confirmed she is not one to settle down, saying, "I like a variety of men. I like men in my life. I’m not a settle-down kind of girl."

Her remarks come just days after sparking romance rumors with actor Ralph Fiennes when they were spotted leaving the Vanity Fair Oscars Party together. However, Handler dismissed the speculation, saying, "I was simply walking to another party with him, and that was all that happened."

Meanwhile, Musk continues to make headlines, with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis confirming the birth of their fourth child together earlier this month, bringing the Tesla CEO’s alleged total to 14 children.
