Twitch streamer and political commentator Hasan Piker, known online as HasanAbi, has dismissed the growing push to reinstate Adin Ross on Twitch, calling the online campaign “obviously fake” and “forced.”
Ross, who was indefinitely banned from the platform in 2023, has reportedly been reaching out to several high-profile streamers and claims to have had personal conversations in hopes of supporting his return. While Ross says the ban has taken a toll on his mental health, not everyone is convinced of his transformation.
“The Adin Ross needs to be unbanned meta is so obviously forced,” Hasan said during a recent livestream. He criticized Ross for attempting a comeback after “a year of doing everything bad,” including allegedly hosting individuals with extremist views. “Now he’s like, ‘Oh, can we please unban me? I’ve changed my ways,’” he added, expressing doubt over the sincerity of Ross’s reformation.
HasanAbi also noted that other controversial creators, such as Sneako and some members of FaZe Clan, are backing Ross’s return. He dismissed their support as part of a broader trend of attempting to rehabilitate online reputations after years of divisive content.
Ross currently streams on Kick but has continued to push for a Twitch comeback. He also recently commented on HasanAbi’s own controversies, including past remarks directed at U.S. Senator Rick Scott.
As the debate over Ross’s unbanning gains traction, HasanAbi’s comments highlight the wider tensions in the streaming community around accountability, redemption, and platform responsibility.
