India secured a historic third ICC Champions Trophy title with a thrilling victory over New Zealand in the final in Dubai on Sunday. Rohit Sharma led from the front with a match-winning 76 as India successfully chased down a 252-run target, solidifying their dominance in white-ball cricket.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the team, calling the triumph an "exceptional result." Taking to social media platform X, he wrote: "An exceptional game and an exceptional result! Bollywood celebrities flooded social media with congratulatory messages as India clinched their third ICC Champions Trophy title, defeating New Zealand by four wickets in the final in Dubai on Sunday.
