The Ravi Road Police made a significant breakthrough on Thursday by arresting a suspect involved in the manufacturing and distribution of ice, a highly dangerous and illegal drug, in Lahore.

The accused, identified as Tanveer, was caught in the act of manufacturing the substance at a makeshift factory.

According to authorities, Tanveer was seen in a video preparing ice, which led to his arrest after a covert operation. Upon his capture, police recovered 2,160 grams of prepared ice along with chemicals used in its production, a cylinder stove, plastic bottles, and other materials related to the manufacturing process.

Tanveer is believed to have been skilled in producing ice, and he reportedly dealt in its sale across the region. His arrest marks a significant blow to the local drug trade.

An official case has been filed against Tanveer, and investigations are ongoing. The Superintendent of Police (SP) City, Captain (Retd.) Qazi Ali Raza, commended the efforts of the Ravi Road Police Station and the team involved in the operation. He also awarded certificates of appreciation to the Station House Officer (SHO) and his team for their role in the successful operation.

"The individuals responsible for the destruction of our youth through dangerous drugs like ice will not be given any leniency," said SP City Captain (Retd.) Qazi Ali Raza.

Authorities have vowed to continue their crackdown on drug manufacturing operations and their distribution networks to protect the community, especially the younger generation.
